Has Your Sap Dried Up?

March 13, 2014 By Lynn H Mosher

Trees winter

Since it has been such a cold and miserable winter, many anxiously await spring, as it sits ready to pounce upon us. I felt the need to share this, so I dug it up out of the graveyard of old posts. I pray it blesses each reader. May the Lord bless you with a special touch of His presence…

I share with you what the Lord spoke to me at a dark and dry time of my life…

“The trees of the Lord are watered
abundantly and are filled with sap.”
Psalm 104:16 AMP

“During the long winter months, when nature has seemingly lost all its beauty, life still flows deep within its darkest recesses. The trees appear naked and dead without their leaves and blooms. The ground seems hard and bare without the beauty of flowers and grass. But, in reality, life is ever flowing, ever-present.

It flows in the sap that is deep within the trees. It stirs within the seeds of flowers yet to bloom. Both are quietly at work, waiting for their appointed time to be awakened and spring to life.

Sometimes My people also must endure their long winter months of travail when their fruit seems to have withered and their branches seem bare. But deep within their roots, My Spirit moves with eternal life.

All may seem dark, lost, and devoid of life and beauty, but, in such a life lived with Me, My work still goes on.

Sometimes it must be that My precious ones must endure the darkness in order to see the Light. Then when My Light shines on them, they come to life and begin, once again, to blossom and bear fruit.

Our lives are one – yours and Mine. Therefore, all that is of My nature must pass into yours, if so be that your roots have grown deep within My Son. So, take courage.

Allow My Life to flow through you, especially in the darkest of times, and then all will be yours – love, joy, peace, comfort, hope, strength, power, trust, healing, patience, humility, wisdom, and victory. I watch over you to care for and bless you.”

~May your heart beat as one with His.

According to Your Word

September 16, 2013 By Lynn H Mosher

Bible and prayer
God’s Word. Has God not said it? Then, it is all according to His Word.

His holy Word, His Truth…that which we are to live out in our lives, if we are God’s children.

As our heavenly Father, He gave us His Word for…

*our guidance
*our protection
*our comfort
*our peace
*our success
*our abundance
*our benefit
*our growth
*our victory
*our defense
*our advantage
*our discipline
*our deliverance
*our refreshment
*our salvation
*our righteousness
*our purpose
*our increase
*our conduct
*our wisdom
*our knowledge
*our strength
*our encouragement
*our sustenance
*our revival
*our boundary
*our foundation
*our lamp and light
*our armor
*our sword of the Spirit
*our realization of His love for us
*our total well-being

All according to God’s Word.

Filled with golden nuggets of truth, Psalm 119 contains twelve verses that use the wording “according to Your word.” The writer of this psalm, which is assumed to be David, wrote…

* “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.” (verse 9)

* “My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to Your word.” (verse 25)

* “My soul melts from heaviness; strengthen me according to Your word.” (verse 28)

* “Let Your mercies come also to me, O Lord — Your salvation according to Your word.” (verse 41)

* “I entreated Your favor with my whole heart; be merciful to me according to Your word.” (verse 58)

* “You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word.” (verse 65)

* “Let, I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Your word to Your servant.” (verse 76)

* “I am afflicted very much; revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.” (verse 107)

* “Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope.” (verse 116)

* “Plead my cause and redeem me; revive me according to Your word.” (verse 154)

* “Let my cry come before You, O Lord; give me understanding according to Your word. Let my supplication come before You; deliver me according to Your word.” (verses 169 and 170)

(All from NKJV)

God’s Word is so precious. Do you ever just hold your Bible in your arms, pressing it against your heart? Do you rejoice in His Word as David did, “I rejoice in Your word like one who discovers a great treasure.”(Ps. 119:162 NLT)

That precious Word is established forever and is always dependable, “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” (Ps. 119:89 NKJV)

When our hearts ache from trials and sorrows, we can depend on the Word to give us comfort, for the Lord will speak to us through it, as David said, “This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.” (Ps. 119:50 NKJV)

Desiring to serve the Lord with hearts full of obedience, we can say to Him, “I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you…I delight in Your decrees; I will not neglect Your word.” (Ps. 119:11 NLT, Ps. 119:16 NIV)

With uplifted, open hands and a heart’s passion to do the will of the Lord, we can say to Him as Mary said to the angel Gabriel, as he relayed the word of the Lord to her. She said, “Let it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38 NKJV)

And when we desire the Lord above all else, we, too, can say…

Yes, Lord, let it be to me according to Your Word!
