‟Open your hands.”
‟I have a plan for you.”
‟Today on your journey, I have seeds for you to plant.”
‟What kind, Lord?”
‟Several kinds, My precious one. I give you the seeds of time, of love, of caring, of kindness, of grace, of comfort, of peace, and of joy.
‟But where am I to plant them, Lord?”
‟First, drop the seeds of time in My presence when you sit before Me. Then, along the way of your day, to whomever you meet, sow the seeds of love into the hearts of those who are unloving. Dispense the seeds of caring into those suffering a debilitating illness. Scatter the seeds of kindness into those who are selfish and prideful.
“Spread the seeds of grace into those believing that their sin is too great for Me to forgive. Sprinkle the seeds of comfort into those whose hearts are grieving. Pour out the seeds of peace into those living in a life of chaos. Shower the seeds of joy into those who have endured much heartache.”
“Yes, Lord. I will obey Your commands.”
Throughout the day, she attempted to distribute the seeds the Lord had given her. At the end of the day, she called out.
Hanging her head and sobbing, she said, “I have failed You, Lord.”
“Did you do as I asked?”
‟I tried, Lord. But the heaviness of my schedule nibbled away at my seeds of time and I did not sit at Your feet as I should have. Then, throughout the day, the most unlovely ones rejected Your seeds of love. The hearts of the sick ones became too worn out for Your seeds of caring. The hearts full of self and pride spat upon Your seeds of kindness.
“The sinning ones refused Your seeds of grace. The grieving hearts ached too much to receive Your seeds of comfort. The ones experiencing situations of disharmony didn’t believe in Your seeds of peace. The hurting ones scoffed at Your seeds of joy. All I have done has been wasted.”
“My child, don’t you know that all those seeds were not wasted but were truly planted? You did not keep them to yourself but you scattered them as I asked. Your responsibility is to obey; it is My responsibility to work the results. Though they may have been sown on unyielding hearts, one day the seeds will take root. They will grow and produce the harvest I desire in each one’s life.
“When you sow those first seeds of time into My presence, you will see your efforts at work in others. Seek Me first and we will sow together.
“Always keep your hands open. Try again tomorrow. Never give up, My child. Never give up.”
“Thank You, Lord. Sow with me always that the harvest results will yield Your purpose.”
May you be blessed in your sowing…Lynn
