Little bits of sand hinder our walk and make us walk funny. Not ha-ha funny, but strange-contrary funny.
What little grains of sand hinder our daily walk with the Lord? Oh, we know about the big things, but what about the little things, like little irritations, little sins, little disappointments, or little discouragements that we allow to grind away at our spirits? Do we recognize those nagging, little doubts, worries, or fears that scrape away at our hearts, those things that keep us from walking in the way the Lord desires for us? Don’t those make our feet walk funny…contrary to the Lord’s purpose?
Anything that becomes a daily grind and affects our walk with God is a hindrance. Jesus came to walk with us, to remove the grit and irritants from our hearts, our feet, our lives. Sometimes, that means letting Him carry us across the gritty and abrasive circumstances. Do you have any irritants grating on your heart and hindering your walk? Have you had any grinding bits of sand in your shoes lately? Have you been walking funny?
To keep the sand out of your shoes, let Him carry you and your burdens.
“Since God cares for you, let Him carry
all your burdens and worries.”
