***I deeply apologize to Connie and everyone. I mistakenly listed the wrong title. It should have been Love and Light.
Today, I bring you a sweet friend and her new book, Peaceful Moments of Love and Light. I know you’ll enjoy reading what she has to say. Your comments will be added to those of other blogs on this book tour and selected names will receive prizes. (See end of post)
Joy is based on the knowledge,
though the world appears dark and dim,
that the light of God’s love is shining;
soak it in and be blessed by Him.
“Dark and dim” – do you think that’s a good description of how the world appears to you often? It certainly does to me at times, especially when I watch the news and hear about all the sad and terrible things happening in different parts of the world and in our own country.
Depression can settle over you like a heavy blanket of fog, blocking out all the light and joy of life. It’s easy to get caught up in misery and self-pity when things aren’t going well or all you see around you are chaos and uncertainty.
As long as your focus is on the bad things around you in this world, darkness is likely to remain. But when your focus is directed upward and your heart opens to receive God’s love, light will start flooding your being with a sweet peace as you soak in that loving light and become aware of God’s abundant blessings in your life.
May you always live in God’s love and light,
may hope fill you through the darkest night,
may joy and contentment shine on your face
and may you be blessed by God’s mercy and grace.
