Feel like giving up?
Yup, sometimes, I do.
Sometimes, in this calling to write for the Lord, I feel like giving up.
With few readers and fewer comments, though it wasn’t always like this, I sometimes get very discouraged and want to give up.
Oh, I know I can’t. Because the Lord called me to do this, and if I gave up, I would be walking in disobedience.
However, when I do get discouraged, the Lord usually sends some precious soul to leave me the most encouraging comment, which truly blesses me.
Felt like giving up…
The other day, I woke up discouraged. In general. I don’t know why. Yet, fibromyalgia can do that sometimes. I told the Lord I felt like giving up, specifically on my writing, and then asked for His forgiveness and told Him I knew I couldn’t quit unless He told me to.
When I went through my emails, I found another comment from a precious reader. And it hit me…well, we usually say right between the eyes. But this one? Hit me right in the middle of my heart!
It was from a precious soul in India. She tells me she shares my posts with their women’s ministry.
Sister Sara, as she calls herself, lives in India. Amidst much idolatry and persecution, she works to serve the Lord in the women’s ministry of their Congregations and Home fellowships in some of the villages. She asks for prayer for their evangelism outreaches to tell others about the Lord and plant Gospel seeds.
And she’s encouraging me! Wow! Am I humbled. She’s the one that needs encouragement. Bless her heart. Such a blessing to know my posts are encouraging to her and others. My hope is that you might pray for her and all the work she and the ministry do for the Lord. They have a website if you’d like to visit them.
Praying for you, Sister Sara!
Feel like giving up?
How about you? When all around you attacks your sense of well-being, and the enemy shoots discouraging arrows at your heart and faith, do you feel like giving up?
Oh, my sweet reader, remember the Lord is the sovereign Ruler over all. He is the King of kings. And He has an all-win-no-loss record. That King is your heavenly Father. And you are a privileged child of the King, a precious part of the Royal Family and heir of the Kingdom.
His weapons are yours. His Word is yours. His Spirit is yours. His victory is yours!
Through the Lord, victory over pain, heartache, circumstances, discouragement, and every other negative thing in your life is possible. So, when your life’s apple cart is overturned by your path’s potholes, and all the apples as the pieces of your life are scattered about, claim your Father’s victory!
Claim your rights as a King’s kid. Claim what the Word, the Truth, says you have through Christ. Claim His Divine supply from His Royal treasury. Claim His supreme power over all your life and the lives of those you love.
And remember, “whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.” (1 John 5:4 NKJV)
May the Lord of the armies of heaven give not only encouragement but also victory to each of you who read this.
Feel like giving up? Claim victory instead!
Blessings of encouragement and victory…Lynn
